Welcome to the South of France ! Enjoy its beautiful landscapes with smelling pine trees forests, lavender fields, olive and fruits groves, picturesque villages, and its flavorful cuisine paired with local wines. Keep a day of your holidays to experience the authentic southern France cuisine through a market cooking class. An adventure of a lifetime!

Welcome to our intimate cooking school located nearby Uzès, nearby the awesome Pont du Gard in the Gard county. Enjoy the visit to one of our local markets with the Chef as your guide. You will learn how to choose the best seasonal produce, connect with local merchants and producers, and feel the atmosphere of a typical South of France market. The market tour lasts about one hour. Wednesday market is in Uzès (place aux herbes). On Tuesday and Friday, the market takes place in Saint Quentin-la-Poterie, a village located 5 minutes from Uzès (transportation is provided if necessary).

Back to the cooking school, you wash hands, tight your apron, and start preparing a delicious well-balanced 3-course menu including a starter, a main course, and a dessert. Recipes pay tribute to the delightful local cuisine, and it will be easy to make in your own kitchen. Considering that most of people have a limited time to prepare lunches and dinners, our teaching includes organization topics that contribute to spare time in preparations.

Sample menus can include Petits Farcis stuffed Mediterranean vegetables, Pissaladière onion tart with anchovies and black olives, artichokes Barigoule, Bell peppers and basil fresh goat cheese millefeuille-style, Mediterranean fish (sea bass, sea bream, red mullets…) or Rack of lamb and Tian Provençal eggplants, zucchinis, onions and tomatoes baked with fresh thyme and olive oil, Roasted peaches with sorbet, Berries crumble, Apricots and lavender tartlet, and more… Please remind that Friday classes celebrate fish and seafood.

Our cooking lessons are hands-on and taught in English. It's been designed for amateurs, for individuals or small groups limited to 6 participants. Tasting lunch accompanied by wine, mineral water, tea or coffee follows each class.

PROGRAM PRICE : $250 per person. 25% discount granted to children under 16.
