In signing a cooking class with us, you will learn the right methods and our chef's tips to succeed in a delicious 3-course menu that you will prepare and cook from scratch. Recipes we have chosen for you celebrate the French traditional cuisine simplified for home cooks. It also features ingredients you can find in your country.
Our classes are designed for amateurs, for individuals and small groups limited to 6 people. All classes are hands-on, and taught in English.
Cooking classes are scheduled in the morning, starting at 10:30am for about 3 hours. You will learn how to prepare and to cook a well-balanced menu with seasonal fresh produce from the market. Tasting lunch including a starter, a main course, and a dessert follows the class. The lunch is accompanied by mineral water, white or red wine, and coffee or tea.
According to the seasons, sample menus can feature pears and blue cheese pie, chestnut and porcini-mushrooms soup topped with a foie gras flavored whipped cream, cucumber and smoked salmon “millefeuille" with its buttered parmesan cookie, rack of lamb topped with a herbs crust, duck breast in orange sauce, berries crumble, cherries clafoutis, apples and raisins crepe “aumoniere" accompanied by a salty buttered caramel sauce, and more. Please remind that our menus consider our clients likes, dislikes and food restrictions or allergies.
We also suggest to experience the market tour & shopping with the Chef before your class ! This is a perfect way to discover the French culture and to get an authentic Taste of France. You will meet the Chef at the market (location depends on the day) and partake the food shopping for the class that will follow. You will learn the basics of French cuisine from the ingredients such as seasonal fruits and vegetables, met, fish, cheese and more. The menu will be decided the D-Day based one seasonality and considering the participants likes, dislikes, food allergies or restrictions.
