Danièle Delpeuch is today a dynamic Ambassador for her region at the international, contributing to media events in France and abroad, cooking for celebrity people and for Lifestyle Vacations' guests. This is how she cooked in Julia Child's kitchen in Grasse, Provence with 8 “lucky" foodie travelers, a culinary original program designed by Corinne Preteur for Lifestyle Vacations.
fter April 2017, Corinne takes you to the Perigord in 2018, a lush region known for fowl and truffles. She gives you the chance to meet and cook a French traditional unpretentious cuisine de mère with celebrity Chef Delpeuch, but not only.
Cooking with Hortense program includes 4 hands-on classes taught in English. Two classes are run by Danièle Delpeuch, and two others by Corinne Preteur. Cooking classes are operated in Saint-Amand Manor's spacious kitchen. Danièle's classes are scheduled in the morning and followed by lunch, as Corinne decides to run her courses in the afternoon to plan the tasting dinner in a casual atmosphere afterwards. Tasting lunches and dinners are accompanied by Bergerac wines which are very similar to Bordeaux.
Each lesson features the traditional Perigourdine and French cuisine prepared with fresh ingredients you will be able to find in your country. No special skills are required to partake our classes. Our recipes are clearly detailed, simplified for home cooks. You will have the pleasure to do it at home and to treat your family and friends on the best way.
Teachings include cooking methods and organization rules in the kitchen, balanced menu creations with seasonal produces, food and wine pairing exercises, foie gras and walnut oil tastings, and more. Our menus are well balanced, and it considers our guests likes, dislikes, food restrictions or allergies. You will learn how to prepare and to cook several French classics listed in Danièle Delpeuch's cook books.
Wednesday morning, you will join Chef Delpeuch on Montignac's open-air market. It will be the time to meet farmers, and to catch Danièle's tips to choose the best produces. You will also enjoy lunches and dinners (aside to the cooking school tasting ones) at traditional and Michelin-star restaurants.

Aside to your classes, you will visit local producers: a walnut oil mill, a geese and cheese farm.
You will enjoy cultural tours stunning sites such as: Castelnaud or Beynac medieval castle overlooking the Dordogne Valley, Lascaux IV cultural center and prehistoric caves, Périgueux, and Sarlat-La-Canéda, the city of consuls with its 400 years of glory.
Located in one of the most picturesque villages of France, distance to Lascaux caves, Perigueux historic town and stunning Dordogne Valley villages, Saint-Amand Manor is a 18th century classified stone building guest house which has been beautifully renovated a fe years ago.
Saint-Amand Manor offers 3 spacious bedrooms with en-suite private bathroom and modern comfort, all furnished with stylish antiques. Amenities include internet WiFi access, tone terrace, manicured garden overlooking the private park, outdoor lounge, heated pool.
Hôtel de Bouilhac in Montignac will complete the guest house accommodation. This is a 17th century beautifully renovated typical Périgord mansion listed at the Historic Monuments. Opened in June 2017, this luxury small hotel offers 12 elegant rooms and suites with en-suite bathrooms. It's 10 minutes distance from Saint-Amand Manor. Transfers by van are provided.
Day 1 (Sunday) : Welcome to the Perigord !
Afternoon transfer by private van from Brive airport (Hop! AF flights from Paris, London, New-York) to Montignac. Check-in at Saint-Amand Manor with a welcome drink & snack. Resting time. Aperitif and dinner accompanied by wine. Overnight.
Day 2 (Monday) : Visit to Lascaux – Cooking Class 1
After breakfast, visit to Lascaux IV Caves Art International Center for about 2 hours.
Lunch in Montignac.
Afternoon visit to a cheese farm before partaking your first cooking class at Saint-Amand Manor which is followed by a well-balanced tasting dinner.
Dinner and overnight.
Day 3 (Tuesday) : Dordogne Valley tour – Visit to a local producer - Cooking Class 2
After breakfast, transfer to the Dordogne Valley by private van.
Visit to Castelnaud castle or to Beynac 12th century fortress.
Lunch in La Roque Gageac.
Afternoon visit to an authentic geese farm before partaking your second cooking lesson at Saint-Amand Manor. Corinne will teach you how to prepare a 3-course dinner in 2 hours only! Tasting dinner accompanied by wine follows.
Day 4 (Wednesday) : Market cooking class 3 with Chef Delpeuch - Visit to a local producer
After breakfast, join Chef Danièle in Montignac.
Market tour and shopping for about one hour, before partaking your 3rd cooking lesson scheduled at 10am. This class will last at least 3 hours and it will be followed by a gourmet lunch.
Afternoon visit to a walnut oil mill.
Back to Saint-Amand. Resting time.
Cheese & Wine tastings class & dinner at the Manor.
Day 5 (Thursday) : Full-day excursion to Sarlat and Marqueysac Gardens
After breakfast, transfer to Sarlat-La-Caneda.
Guided walking tour to Sarlat-La-Canéda outstanding historic town and time free for shopping afterward.
Gourmet lunch in a Michelin-star restaurant.
Afternoon visit to Marqueysac manicured and romantic gardens. It features more than six kilometers of shaded paths bordered by 150.000 hand-pruned centennial boxwood trees, the whole embellished with belvederes, waterways, rockeries and grassy clearings.
Light dinner at Saint-Amand Manor. Overnight.
Day 6 (Friday): Cooking Class 4 – Visit to Perigueux
After breakfast, cooking class run by Chef Danièle, followed by lunch.
Afternoon guided tour to Perigueux historic town, and time free for shopping.
Farewell food & wine pairing dinner in Saint-Amand Manor.
Day 7 (Saturday) : Airport transfer. End of the tour
Check-out after breakfast.
Transfer to Brive airport. End of the tour.
