From the French comedy-drama “Haute Cuisine" to Chef Daniele Delpeuch's kitchen in the Périgord... Indulge in Southwestern France authentic lifestyle while cooking with the French President former private chef. The experience of a life time!

The 2012 French comedy-drama HAUTE CUISINE is based on the true story of Mrs Danièle Delpeuch and how she was appointed as the private chef for François Mitterrand (1988-1990). Plucked from her native Perigord southwestern region of France, Chef Danièle Delpeuch - renamed Hortense Laborie in the movie – yields to no one in cooking the grandmotherly comfort food desired by her country's Patrician leader…

Danièle Delpeuch is today a dynamic Ambassador for her region at the international, contributing to media events in France and abroad, cooking for celebrity people and for Lifestyle Vacations' guests. This is how she cooked in Julia Child's kitchen in Grasse, Provence with 8 “lucky" foodie travelers, a culinary original program designed by Corinne Preteur for Lifestyle Vacations.
fter April 2017, Corinne takes you to the Perigord in 2018, a lush region known for fowl and truffles. She gives you the chance to meet and cook a French traditional unpretentious cuisine de mère with celebrity Chef Delpeuch, but not only.

Cooking with Hortense program includes 4 hands-on classes taught in English. Two classes are run by Danièle Delpeuch, and two others by Corinne Preteur. Cooking classes are operated in Saint-Amand Manor's spacious kitchen. Danièle's classes are scheduled in the morning and followed by lunch, as Corinne decides to run her courses in the afternoon to plan the tasting dinner in a casual atmosphere afterwards. Tasting lunches and dinners are accompanied by Bergerac wines which are very similar to Bordeaux.
