Champagne Wine & Cultural VIP Day Tour

Ever since its first sparkle, Champagne has been the preferred choice for celebrations of all kinds. Royal, political, national, fashionable, sporting… whatever the occasion is, it has to be Champagne!

With Lifestyle Vacations France, you will explore the legendary region of Champagne which has given its name to the well-known sparkling wine.
You will learn about Reims’ long history, starting by a guided visit to Notre-Dame cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic art which was the cradle of Christianity. Most of the Kings of France (34 total) were crowned from the baptism of Clovis in the late 5th century. As it’s been sadly and massively bombed during the World War I, Reims mostly features the 20th century architecture at the exception of a few buildings around the cathedral.

This private full-day VIP tour is guided by Corinne Preteur personally. It includes Paris round-trip transfer by minivan, visit to Premier and Grand Cru Champagne family-run winery, gourmet lunch at Le Foch restaurant in Reims, Hautvillers cultural tours,and it ends with a VIP welcome and tastings at Champagne Vesselle.

We will have to depart at 7am to partake in the 10am prestigious family-run Champagne winery visit in Reims. You will walk down in a spectacular maze chalk cellars where millions of bottles age quietly between 46-54°F.
You will learn about the history of the winery and the double fermentation process.
The guided visit ends by a 2 sparkling wine tastings such as: Vintage Brut and Prestige Rosé.

At 12:30pm, you will enjoy a a 4-course gourmet lunch in a Michelin ranked restaurant in Reims, a celebration to the Champagne and the French cuisine.
Depending on the time we have after lunch, you will walk to the cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic art which was the cradle of Christianity.

In the afternoon, you will discover La Montagne de Reims Grand Cru Route listed at the UNESCO World Heritage which combines hillsides, houses and cellars. This guided tour entices you with its tucked-away villages, vine-draped vistas and exclusive cellar doors. Just outside Epernay, you will walk through Hautvillers village, the birthplace of Champagne where Dom Perignon invented the precious beverage at the end of the 17th century. Dom Perignon served as cellarer in Hautvillers Abbey. You will visit the Church of the Benedictine Monastery where Dom Perignon is buried.
In the end, we will drive through Bouzy vineyards, where you will be welcomed at a another family-run winery to enjoy tastings in a private room.

This full-day tour starts from Paris at 7am and it ends at 7pm.
