Welcome to Provence!

Your cooking adventure starts on food market in Avignon historic quarter.
Meet the Chef on the market at 9am for experiencing the food shopping and discussing about your likes, dislikes, food restrictions or allergies.
The menu is created accordingly.

Provence is a blessed region for growing the tasty vegetables and fruits, aromatic herbs. The countryside is popular for its livestock and goat cheese farms as the Mediterranean coast offers the freshest fish and shellfish.

On strolling across the market, the Chef explains how to choose the ingredients, considering the freshness and prices. You won’t miss tastings at a few of the chef’s favorite purveyors while discussing the specialties of Provence.

Enjoy your Culinary Adventure!

Back to the cooking school after a one-hour food shopping, you will tight your apron, wash your hands and partake in a hands-on class celebrating the delightful Mediterranean and Provence cuisine.
You will prepare and cook a 3-course menu (aperitif, main course and dessert).
Sample menu can include:
– Ratatouille tart with fresh basil and sun-dried garlic
– Lime-flavored salmon “rillettes”
– Pissaladière (onion tart with anchovies and black olives)
– Rolled fish fillets with asparagus, olive oil and lemon emulsion
– Roasted peaches, aspic of granny smith and tea
– Pistachio and red berries crumble.

The class is taught in English and it’s designed for amateurs.
After your class, you will be invited to sit for enjoying the lunch you have cooked under the Chef’s direction.
Tasting lunch is accompanied by local wines, mineral waters and coffee.
Program ends at 1:30pm.
