The city gave its name to the legendary vineyard and outstanding chateaux. Ideally located at the Gironde river estuary, about 30 miles from the Atlantic coast, the city of Bordeaux was the largest port in France before the 1789 Revolution. The wine business contributed to make merchants fortunate and to create a fabulous architectural heritage: private mansions, theaters and museums, tree-shaded thoroughfares and large avenues that invite to walks, beautifully designed river banks facing classified buildings such as Hotel de la Bourse, Grand Pavilion and fountains.

You will enjoy our cultural and food walking tour, as well as a city tour for a better understanding of Bordeaux city, historically and geographically. You will visit Bordeaux by walking or tourist bus and learn the most unexpected anecdotes that have made the history of the capital of Gironde. You will discover the must-see monuments and squares of Bordeaux, such as the Place de la Bourse and its water mirror, Grand Théâtre or La Grosse Cloche. You will also discover the other side of the Garonne River offering a breathtaking view of the historical Bordeaux. You will visit  Château les Carmes Haut-Brion. Despite its Pessac-Léognan appellation, it is the only château which remains in downtown Bordeaux. You will appreciate its exceptional cellar designed by Philippe Starck and enjoy a wine tasting.

Day 2: Bordeaux Gourmet Cruise – Visit to La Cité du Vin
Breakfast at your hotel.
Bordeaux is a foodie destination with a long history and great lifestyle. Discover a few emblematic places along the cobblestones, then board a pretty wood boat just for you!
The walking and cruising tour is approximately 1 mile : 1h45 by walking and 1h30 cruising)
Along the river, you will sample some local specialities, with a stunning view on the UNESCO listed facades of this amazing historic town.
Afternoon visit to La Cité du Vin (you can get there by walking or take a taxi).
You will embark on an immersive and multi-sensory experience while enjoying a panoramic view of Bordeaux with a glass of wine in hand!
Late afternoon free at your leisure.

Day 3: Full-day Premium Wine tour to Saint-Emilion
Breakfast at your hotel.
Meet your driver-guide at 9:30am at the hotel.
Guided tour through Saint-Emilion breathtaking vineyards and landscape (my favorite one!!)
Morning visit to Grand-Cru Classé chateau for about 2 hours.
Gourmet Michelin-star lunch in Saint-Emilion.
Afternoon walking tour in Saint-Emilion medieval village and time free for shopping, followed by an exclusive boutique winery followed by tastings.
Transfer to your hotel in Bordeaux.

Day 4: Full-day Premium Wine tour to the Médoc
Breakfast at your hotel.
Meet your driver-guide at 9am at the hotel.
You will visit two “Grand Cru Classé” Chateaux (one in the morning and one in the afternoon, in Margaux, Pauillac, Saint-Julien, and/or Saint-Estèphe). Visits are upon reservation only, and last between 1h30 and 2 hours.
Lunch at La Maison d’Estournel
Transfer to Bordeaux end afternoon. Time free to relax.

Day 5: Check-out – End of the Tour
Breakfast at your hotel.
Check-out before 11am. End of the tour.
