Welcome to Alsace!

Alsace is the smallest region of France only 40 miles long by 16 miles wide, a historic region adjacent to Germany known for its fairytale villages adorned with flowers, gabled roofs and chimneys topped with stock nests, half-timbered hamlets, Renaissance-style cities, beautiful natural heritage sites including the Vosges Mountains, peaceful lakes and rivers.

You will explore the legendary Wine route, meet the wine growers and makers. You will be delighted by the local and French cuisine through hands-on cooking classes as well as the gourmet experiences in traditional and Michelin restaurants.

You will indulge in the Alsatian culture through visits and tours.
Alsace has a long and rich history, an impressive combination of French and German cultures, which remains through the architectural heritage, museums. You will visit Notre-Dame cathedral in Strasbourg, the Unterlinden museum in Colmar with its rich Middle-Age to Renaissance collections, La Petite France and La Petite Venise tanner quarters in Strasbourg and Colmar, the Haut Koenigsbourg château, and some of the picturesque villages on the wine route such as : Ribeauvillé, Riquewhir, Eguisheim, Kaysersberg… where you will have time free for shopping!

For more comfort, teaching and learning, our tour is limited to 6 participants. It’s confirmed with 2 people.

Alsace Wine Route

Lifestyle Vacations Alsace Tour

The wine route which crosses the vineyard over 170 kilometers is one of the oldest in France. From Thann in the south to Marlenheim and Wissembourg in the north, the route offers breathtaking landscapes and exceptional heritage : perfectly lined vines, fortified villages, half-timbered houses, roman and gothic churches, medieval castles…
Wine tourism is a long tradition in Alsace, and many villages along the wine route celebrate the end of the grape harvest with wine festivals throughout October.

To get a better understanding of the Alsace wines, you will visit a family-run winery in Ammerschwihr, a member of the Vignerons Indépendants de France Association. The family grows 15 hectares of vines both young and old vines with great respect for each individual terroir to create tasteful wines to enjoy at the aperitif or to pair with food. Along your visit you will learn the complex world of Alsace wines. Through the senses of sight, smell and taste, you will have to identify a refreshing Sylvaner, a fragrant Muscat, a noble Grand Cru Riesling, a full-bodied Gewürztraminer, a Pinot Gris and a Pinot Noir.
