Welcome to the French Alps, from the lake of Annecy to the Aravis, Vanoise and Mont-Blanc mountains, featuring rejuvenate environments, pastures stuffed with wildflowers, high snow-capped peaks, historic towns, picturesque villages adorned with geraniums, gourmet adventures, and alive art craft traditions. A Taste of the French Alps program includes a 6-night luxury private chalet accommodation located in a traditional farming village, a few miles distance to the lake of Annecy.

Lifestyle Vacations French Alps Journey

A Taste of the French Alps culinary journey offers a perfect combination of gourmet adventures and visits throughout the Savoie region. You will enjoy the alive market of La Clusaz picturesque village and the visit to an authentic cheese farm.You will stroll across Annecy historic quarter with a tour-guide to admire the numerous 16th- and 17th-century buildings painted in shades of peach and rose which house restaurants, bakeries, tiny boutiques and designers shops. Annecy earns its reputation of the Alpine Venice thanks to the canals trickling through the town.You will indulge in Chamonix mountaineering traditions and enjoy a cogwheel train ride to the glaciers. The train stops at the Montenvers station at 6276 ft altitude where you will have lunch while admiring the panoramic view over the highest peaks.

Taste of the French Alps celebrates the traditional French and Savoie’s cuisine through hands-on cooking classes in the chalet and gourmet experiences in casual and Michelin-starred restaurants such as Yoann Conte**, Auberge du Père Bise by Chef Jean Sulpice** or Le Clos des Sens by Chef Laurent Petit***.
Program includes 4 cooking lessons scheduled in the morning or late in the afternoon.
You will learn how to prepare and cook well balanced meals including a starter, a main course and a dessert, and celebrating the French traditional cuisine paired with the fine white and red wines of the Savoie region.

A relaxing summer holiday has to include Wellness!
You will experience a full-body massage in Le Grand Bornand Spa aside to relaxing time in the chalet which has a heated pool, jacuzzi and sauna.

Private Chalet Accommodation

Our Alpine Chic chalet is located in a traditional farming village of the Aravis Mountains, 15 miles distance from Annecy and the lake shore. In summer this alpine Eden is a perfect rejuvenating spot in a stunning environment: green valleys, gentle slopes and traditional chalets, bulb bell-tower churches, farm where the flavorful Reblochon cheese is made.


Our entirely renovated and elegantly decorated private chalet spanning over three floors has two west and south oriented terraces to enjoy breathtaking views, especially at the sunset. Our chalet offers eight bedrooms with private en-suite baths (jacuzzi bath tubs or walk-in showers) and all modern comfort. Amenities include WiFi, flat screen TV’s with international channels, washing machine and dryer, board and iron, fully equipped kitchens, BBQ, etc. You will find hairdryers, bathrobes, and towels in each bathroom. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners are served in the dining room or on the terrace if the weather allows. Relax in the wellness room with large windows overlooking the mountains. Here’s the heated pool and jacuzzi, and the sauna further!

ITINERARY

Day 1 (Sunday) – Welcome to Geneva &to the French Alps!
Pick-up at Geneva international airport and transfer to the chalet in Le Grand Bornand quaint village.
Check-in. Resting time free at your leisure in the chalet.
Welcome aperitif and dinner in the chalet.
Overnight.

Day 2 (Monday) – Market Cooking Class / Visit to a Reblochon cheese Farm
After breakfast, transfer to La Clusaz for the market tour and shopping.
Visit to a cheese farm. Lunch in the chalet.
4pm-7pm: Cooking class celebrting the French and local cuisine, followed by tasting dinner.
Overnight.

Day 3 (Tuesday) – Chamonix full-day Tour
After breakfast, transfer to Chamonix.
Morning guided walking tour.
Noon lunch at Le Matafan gourmet restaurant.
Early afternoon train ride to Le Montenvers through forests, tunnels, and viaducts to get to a 6290 ft altitude right at the foot of La Mer de Glace to enjoy the glacier panorama and the view on the high peaks.
Transfer to le Grand Bornand
Dinner in the chalet.
Overnight.

Day 4 (Wednesday) – Easy mountain walk / Lunch break in a farm / Wellbeing massage / Dinner in the chalet
After breakfast, we meet Bernard the local tour guide for a recreational and educational mountain walk (easy level) on the Plateau de Beauregard. You will improve your knowledge about wild medicinal and eatable herbs and flowers while observing the marmots.
Lunch at La Ferme de Lorette or similar.
At 4pm, one-hour wellbeing massage in Le Grand Bo’ Spa. Relaxing time in the chalet.
Dinner in the chalet.
Overnight

Day 5 (Thursday) – Cooking class & Tasting Lunch / Guided walking tour in Annecy / Gourmet dinner
After breakfast, morning cooking class in the chalet followed by lunch.
Afternoon transfer to Annecy to enjoy a guided walk through Annecy historic quarter. Time free at your leisure for shopping or relaxing
Transfer to Le Grand Bornand.
Dinner at Le Confins des Sens restaurant in the village
Overnight.

Day 6 (Friday) – Cooking Class & Tasting Lunch / Lake of Annecy boat ride / Gourmet Michelin-star dinner
After breakfast, morning cooking class in the chalet followed by lunch.
At 2:30pm, transfer to Talloires to enjoy a quiet walk in this charming village on the lake shores before visiting Veyrier-du-Lac.
At 4:30pm, you will enjoy a 2-hour private boat ride on the lake of Annecy
7pm: Farewell Le Clos des Sens*** ou L’Auberge du Père Bise** Relais & Chateau Michelin-star 6-course dinner.
Transfer to the chalet
Overnight.

Day 7 (Saturday) – Check-out / End of the tour.
After breakfast, transfer to Geneva international airport.
End of the tour.
