Welcome to Beaumes-de-Venise, a charming Provence village which is reputed for its delicate Muscat naturally sweet wines, organic fruits orchards, vegetables gardens, and sweet life. Beaumes is La Villa des Dentelles home-village, a luxury property accommodation nestled in the Northern Provence countryside, between woods, vineyards and mountains including the Mont Ventoux.

La Villa des Dentelles offers 5 elegantly decorated rooms, with en-suite bathroom equipped with walk-in shower. Each room is in beige, and pastel colors trends, furnished with stylish antiques and king-size or two single beds. Modern amenities include hairdryer, toiletries, tea and coffee facilities, free WiFi connection.

Join Corinne in La Maison du Comtat - her home in Provence - to experience the flavorful and healthy Provence and Mediterranean cuisine through a hands-on English-taught lesson. You will learn how to cook a well balanced 3-course dinner prepared with organic fresh produces. You will enjoy the fruits of your labor after the class, accompanied by the finest Provence wines. Depending on the season, menu can include a fresh goat cheese and roasted bell pepper layers starter, a lemon flavored fennel stew with red mullet fish fillets or rack of lamb and ratatouille, seasonal fruits tatlets or salad with crispy biscuits.
Aside to your guided walks through the Provence countryside with Ariane, Corinne will take you to an authentic Provence open-air market, to a top-ranked winery and to hilltop villages with its tree-shaded squares, its fountains, and its steep cobble-stone streets. You will visit Avignon and Chateauneuf-du-Pape as well.


Day 1 (Saturday) : Welcome to Provence
Meet at Avignon TGV train station (direct express train from Paris CDG airport) at 2:30pm.
Transfer to La Villa des Dentelles in Beaumes de Venise. Check-in, and resting time.
Wellbeing relaxing 1-hour massage in the villa.
Welcome aperitif at Corinne's home when we will review the itinerary together. Food and wine pairing dinner follows.
Overnight at La Villa des Dentelles.

Day 2 (Sunday) : Luberon -> Roussillon
After breakfast, transfer to Roussillon.
Morning 3-hour walk through pine tree forest and world's largest natural ocher queries, creating a rainbow of colorful sands, from pale yellows to deep reds and even purples. The path goes to Rustrel quaint village where you admire a 360° panoramic outstanding landscape. You will discover Roussillon hilltop village before returning back to La Villa des Dentelles guesthouse.

Day 3 (Monday) : Dentelles de Montmirail
Just south of Vaison-la-Romaine, a fringe of jagged rock known as the Dentelles (or lace) de Montmirail rises abruptly above the hills. The hike weaves among oak forests and hidden vineyards, following the ridge of the Dentelles to Gigondas picturesque medieval village which is well known for one of the top-ranked Côtes-du-Rhône wine. You will visit the village and its 11th-century church and Romanesque chapel. Afternoon 3-hour hills walk to Sablet medieval village.
Picnic lunch. Dinner at Corinne's home. Overnight at La Villa des Dentelles guest house.

Day 4 (Tuesday) : Vaison la Romaine (market & hilltop village) - Afternoon Cooking class
After breakfast, transfer to Vaison la Romaine. Tuesdays welcome one of the biggest Provence open-air market set into the all town. Lunch break at O'Naturelles restaurant (home-made organic food). Afternoon walking tour to Vaison medieval perched village.
Back to La Maison du Comtat at 3pm. Afternoon 3-hour cooking class starting at 4pm, followed by food & wine pairing dinner.

Day 5 (Wednesday) : Luberon > Gordes to Senanques
After breakfast, transfer to Gordes. We will start the guided walk in Gordes medieval perched village overlooking the Calavon valley. With your expert guide, you will head into the thyme-laden hills, on walking paths lined with ancient stone walls and shepherd's huts. The paths will lead you directly to Sénanque Abbey, nestled in the valley and framed by its lavender fields. The 12th century monastery has housed Cistercian monks for the past 850 years. You can visit the abbey before you return to Gordes by foot, on a trail with outstanding aerial views. Time free in Gordes.
Picnic lunch. Gourmet dinner at "Le 6 à Table" restaurant in Caromb. Overnight at La Villa des Dentelles guest house.

Day 6 (Thursday) : Pays de Sault > the Lavender route
After breakfast, transfer to Sault, capital of lavender. The lavender starts blooming from early to mid June and it's harvested in July. Morning walk through lavender fields planted on a high plateau. Your expert guide will explain everything you have to learn about the precious flower… The route joins a botanical path, lined with fragrant lavender plantations, along the foothills of Mont Ventoux. Lunch in Sault and time free in the village before visiting a working lavender distillery.
This evening, a special treat is with a wine maker and cheese tastings. You will go first in the vineyard to learn the secrets of organic wine growing. Then gather around a table at Corinne's home amid a breathtaking view on the vineyards and the Mont Ventoux further. It's time to improve your knowledge of French cheeses (but not only) that will be paired with the best Provence Côtes du Rhône wines.

Day 7 (Friday) : Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Avignon
Loop walk, 5 miles, easy to moderate, 300-ft. elevation gain and loss.
After breakfast, transfer to Châteauneuf-du-Pape world's well known village and especially wines ! Literally translating as the “new castle of the pope," this was the site of the pope's summer retreat when the seat of the papacy was moved to Avignon from Rome in the 14th century. From the hilltop town, views extend over the Rhône Valley, the thousands of acres of vines originally brought here during the papal period, Avignon, and Mont Ventoux. Your walk is on undulating farming tracks used only by the locals to work the surrounding vineyards, and trails linking two estates, each with a different character. You will make your way to one of the 55 producers of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, where you stop for a tour and tasting to learn more about its cultivation and classification. Lunch in the village. Afternoon walk in Avignon historic quarter to finish by the immense Papal Palace and lengendary Pont d'Avignon, originally built at the 12 th century.
Farewell dinner at l'Oustalet Michelin-star restaurant in Gigondas.

Day 8 (Saturday) : Check-out. End of the tour.
After breakfast, the trip comes to a close with a drive over 45 minutes to Avignon, where you can continue your explorations in Provence or depart for another destination.
