La Villa des Dentelles villa offers 5 elegantly decorated rooms and suite, with en-suite bathroom equipped with walking shower. Each room or suite is in beige, grey and white colors trends, furnished with stylish antiques and king-size or two single beds. Modern amenities include minibar, safety lock, hairdryer, bathrobe, toiletries, etc. Free WiFi connection in all rooms. The villa has a pool and a summer kitchen with a washing machine at the guests' disposal.
Delightful Provence is a Lifestyle Vacations France original culinary program designed for individuals and small groups limited to 6 people. It's escorted by Corinne Preteur personally.
This program includes 3 hands-on Cooking classes taught in English. You will get all the recipes in English. We provide aprons. Casual clothes (tee-shirt, jeans, comfortable flat shoes) are recommended in the school.
Two classes are operated in the Luberon Cooking School, and run by our Executive Michelin-star Chef, an instructor at the Paul Bocuse culinary Institute. Each class features a different 4-course menu including an amuse-bouche, an appetizer (starter), a main course (entree) with meat and/or fish, and a dessert. Along your 4-hour class you will learn how to prepare and to cook a French-style menu from scratch. You will learn chopping, cooking and baking methods, as well as the plated presentation. Tasting lunch accompanied by aperitif, wine, and coffee or tea follows each class.
One class is operated at La Villa des Dentelles, run by Chef Marie, and coordinated in English by Corinne. The menu you will learn to cook includes organic produce and can be gluten-free if participants have allergies. It's also a way to say: I eat with pleasure with…, and being allergic to gluten is not a handicap!. It's an afternoon class followed by a food & wine pairing tasting dinner.
Aside to your cooking lessons, you will visit perched villages by walking, as well as producers (goat cheese farm, winery, honeybee farm, olive oil mill). A full-day excursion to Avignon and to Les Baux de Provence is scheduled. Michelin-star restaurant lunch and visit to Les Carrières de Lumières is at the itinerary too.
Day 1 (Friday) : Welcome to Provence ! Train station or airport transfer. Resting time. Dinner.
Avignon TGV train station or Marseille airport transfer by private car or minibus. Check-in at La Villa des Dentelles. Resting time to recover from jet lag. Welcome aperitif and dinner at the Villa. Overnight.
Day 2 (Saturday) : Hilltop villages walking tour. Visit to a winery. Cooking class & dinner.
Breakfast. Hilltop villages tour around Beaumes de Venise for 2 hours, followed by a picnic lunch (and wine tasting) in a winery. Afternoon Cooking class starting at 4:30pm for 3 hours, followed by a food & wine pairing tasting dinner. Overnight.
Day 3 (Sunday) : Market Cooking class followed by lunch. Afternoon walking tour to Gordes or Roussillon. Dinner.
Breakfast. Transfer to the Luberon Cooking School.
9:00am – 4:30pm : Market tour with the Chef for one hour. You will meet producers and smiling local people while learning how to choose the best produce to be prepared and cooked afterwards. Back to the school, enjoy a coffee and start partaking a 4-hour cooking class celebrating the Provence cuisine. Aperitif and gourmet food & wine pairing tasting lunch.
Walking tour to Gordes or to Roussillon hilltop village. Transfer to Beaumes de Venise. Resting time. Light dinner at the villa. Overnight.
Day 4 (Monday) : Full-day excursion to Les-Baux-de-Provence and to Avignon
Breakfast. Transfer to Les Baux. Morning visit to the medieval village and to Les Carrieres de Lumieres, a spectacular sound & light show in the disused quarry that explores the fantastic and wonderful world painted by Bosch, Brueghel and Arcimboldo 16-th century artists. Gourmet lunch at l'Oustau de Baumanières Michelin-star** restaurant. Afternoon transfer to Avignon. Visit to the historic quarter and to the Popes' Palace. Transfer to Le Barroux. Dinner at the Villa. Overnight.
Day 5 (Tuesday) : Vaison-La-Romaine medieval village, Roman site and open-air market tour. Visit to a goat cheese farm.
Breakfast. Transfer to Vaison. Open-air market walking tour (this market is one of the biggest in Provence). Lunch. Afternoon walking tour to Vaison medieval village. Visit to a goat cheese farm at the milking time (+/-6pm). Dinner at the Caromb' restaurant. Overnight
Day 6 (Wednesday) : Cooking class followed by lunch. Afternoon visit to an olive mill and to a honeybee farm. Dinner at the Villa.
Breakfast. Transfer to the Luberon Cooking School.
4-hour cooking class starting at 9:45am. You will learn how to prepare and to cook a traditional gourmet meal including an amuse-bouche, starter, main course and dessert. Aperitif and tasting lunch accompanied by wine and coffee or tea.
Afternoon visit to Gordes olive oil mill and to a honeybee farm. Meet the producers. Farewell dinner at the villa. Overnight.
Day 7 (Thursday) : Check-out after breakfast. Airport or train station transfer. End of the tour.
After breakfast, transfer to Avignon or to Marseille by private car or minibus.
